Product Review: Yves Saint Laurent Volume Effet Faux Cils

Hey dolls!

So a few weeks back I was sent this gorgeous little black box from the folks at Influenster. Inside was a beautifully golden box containing the new YSL Mascara that they sent me to test out.

My initial first impression was total love. I have fairly long eyelashes as is, but this made them longer and fuller. I was a fantastic first impression.

However, I noticed later on in the day that while the upper lashes looked fab, the lower lashes were smudgy and flaking. Um … not what this girl was expecting from a mascara with a $32 price tag. I expected perfection, especially since it had only been 5 hours since I put it on!

I tried them again later, but this time used my Smashbox mascara primer. SUCCESS! They stayed flawless all day (OK, really for like 14 hours).

Final Verdict: I do like this mascara a lot, but it must be worn with a primer. Sadly I don’t always have time for eyelash primer, so … I doubt I’ll rebuy this one.
